I opened The Growing Tree in 1980 with the help of my husband, Leonard, with three small children underfoot. I decided to open a children's specialty store because of my love for fashion and the enjoyment that I received in dressing my children in classic, traditional clothing that was not available in our area. Since opening, we have catered to our customers giving them unique, high quality clothing and gifts and now we feel honored to be enjoying the second generation of some of those loyal customers. Even though my children are grown, I still enjoy being the primary buyer for our store with the help of my daughter, Stephanie. Together, we select the best of the manufacturer's line in order for me to offer my customer
